Need Acceptance?

A client session recently highlighted an issue that I believe is a fairly common one among women. The information that came through for this particular client gave me the moment in time that my clients spirit was completely crushed, she was just 10 years old. In this moment although my client wasn’t consciously aware of the spiritual level of trauma she’d experienced, she lost herself, her self trust and her self esteem leaving her needing acceptance and validation from others.  Over the years she became somewhat of a chameleon changing herself to fit in to her surroundings to be liked by her peers to get that validation and acceptance she needed so much.

Personally I resonated with this client and this session a great deal and I know from experience that when someone feels spiritually threatened by another they attack on not only a personal level but a spiritual level leaving the victim emotionally scarred and spiritually crushed. This contributes to an avalanche of self esteem and self trust issues on a soul level that often take years to heal because they aren’t recognised for what they are and it’s not understood why they originated in the first place which is important when healing the soul.

As children we are told to toughen up and just ignore our tormentors but the problem with that is our feelings aren’t validated in the moment and we experience the pain or worse we simply suppress the drama and bury our feelings only to experience issues later in life as one by one our issues are triggered or our physical health suffers as a result of buried emotions.

This need for acceptance when suffering such extreme self esteem issues often sees people changing who they are to gain validation. Changing who you really are to get acceptance and validation doesn’t work because you’re getting acceptance for someone you are not. It is completely superficial, if you are not being your true self it’s not you whose receiving the validation at all; it is false. The facade that you are presenting is getting the attention, the fantasy you are creating is getting validated and for you, the real you, none of it is real.

It’s similar to when you love a character in a TV show or a movie, the character is the facade of the actor and it’s the facade you are admiring not the authentic self of the actor, you love the character, the role, the mask; the facade and none of it is the true self of the actor playing the role.

Healing this issue on a soul level requires healing many layers; the subconscious mind, the soul and spirit including recognising on a conscious level that we require approval by no one but ourselves. The only opinion of yourself you need concern yourself with is yours and the most empowering thing you can do for yourself is to know who you really are because that my friends is where your strength and power truly lies.

If you find yourself seeking validation and approval from others and think working with energy to uncover secrets hidden in your soul and healing on a soul level might be something you’d like to explore please contact me to discuss anytime.
