MidLife Crisis Or Spiritual Awakening?
Is a midlife crisis a wake-up call?
Whether you use the term midlife or crisis what is actually going on at the soul level is definitely some sort of wake-up call. Maybe you are feeling lost, depressed or anxious about your life path or suddenly questioning aspects of your life choices to date. These feelings of confusion and self-doubt absolutely feel intense and like a crisis. These feelings can occur at any time of life not just at midlife although this is common, and it absolutely is a wake-up call. A call from your spirit.
We are all born as human beings, vulnerable, ignorant, perhaps fearful, alone and lost. Our souls are asleep as we live a mundane, meaningless material surface level life. Continually searching for entertainment, gloss and glamour, trying to find where we fit in often using distractions and ways to escape the world by use of drugs and alcohol etc.
Triggers Open Our Soul Wounds.
Throughout our life we have opportunities to heal our soul issues, it is only when we ignore these signs that they intensify and eventually become what feels like a crisis. These triggers show up as fears, traumas, pain and suffering all of which require a spiritual awakening to deeply heal. We literally wake up to ourselves, our behaviour, our surface level living and feelings of wanting more. We begin to understand that there is more to our physical and emotional pain beyond the surface. Individually we want purpose and meaning to our existence. Awakening the soul and becoming spirit in body is one of the reasons why we are here and it involves embarking on our spiritual journey which begins with healing our soul and spirit.
The spiritual path isn’t an easy one as we have to face our fears, traumas, hurts, pain and suffering from this life and past lives combined. The rewards however are great offering a sense of freedom, peace of mind and purpose.
As a spiritual practitioner it is my purpose to guide those on the path, to heal and balance the unresolved issues of the soul and spirit. Find and clear the buried issues, past traumas, blocked energy and dis-ease we have suppressed to find the true you and help you find peace and a sense of belonging. To get you onto your spiritual path so you can fulfil your destiny and purpose.
Face Your Feelings Head On.
When you feel the call allow your feelings of insecurity and uncertainty to guide you to what feels good for you. Be guided by your intuition and trust what resonates. An important part of the spiritual path is to really know yourself, understand who you are and why you are here so you can live in alignment with your truth and not the expectations of others.
Struggling with where to begin? Start with living mindfully. Be present as much as possible throughout your day, be fully in your body and recognise feelings and emotions. You might be surprised at what you learn about yourself when you begin to pay more attention to your thoughts, feelings, emotions and energy. Reflect daily and journal thoughts, feelings, dislikes and likes as it will become your road map to your truth. Use meditation and yoga as tools to find not only balance but that much-needed connection to spirit. Find your passion, it will guide you to your purpose. While the path itself can feel incredibly lonely at times you don’t have to go it alone, personally, I couldn’t have healed my soul issues without the help of my mentor/healer. There are times when all the tools in the toolbox just aren’t enough to get you through and you need help to wade through the mud, use it!
Spiritual awakening is a Divine right, while it may feel like a crisis it is actually the beginnings of self realisation. The path is yours and it is waiting for you to step up and begin. There is no time like the present to begin to love yourself a little more, know yourself and find your truth within. All you have to do is want it. Seek and you shall find and my favourite cliché when the student is ready the teacher appears. Cliché or not it is all true. So my friend, this is your wake-up call, listen to the messages your body is giving you, pay attention to those intuitive vibes. That depression, pain or anxiety is your cue to seek another way of being. You got this!
