Be Here Now
I believe in taking things slower, taking a breath, simplifying life and generally taking more care of ourselves. There is absolutely nothing in this world more important than our mental, emotional and spiritual health which of course has a direct impact on the health of our physical body.
being crazy busy is over rated
We humans have formed this false belief that being busy somehow equals success or demonstrates we have purpose, but if I’m honest multi tasking and being run off our feet is completely over rated. I actually believe it was created by malevolent spirits to distract us from whatever evil or toxicity they were spreading about while we were too busy to notice!
Mindfulness is becoming a bit of a buzz word here in the Western world these days but it is actually a concept that has been around for thousands of years and has roots in Buddhism and Hinduism. It basically means to have awareness of the mind and the body asking us to be here now. For me this practice has been life changing in the way it teaches us to be present in every moment. Because with presence comes awareness and with awareness self knowledge and of course gratitude and joy in some of these moments, the little sweet moments that we would’ve otherwise missed while we were focused on whatever thoughts were rattling around in our mind in that particular moment; such as what is next on our to do list or what are we going to do on the weekend. We distract ourselves from the present moment without even realising it and it is often with mind numbing thoughts or sometimes it is with incredibly stressful thoughts about things we cannot change.
A mind clear of clutter allows your intuition to filter through!
Mindfulness gifts us with a connection to our breath which in turn connects us to our spirit, our soul and our intuition allowing us to connect to our emotional self, feelings you might otherwise suppress because you’re not taking the time to notice them. When we add acceptance into the mix together we eliminate a huge amount of our anxiety. This is where I am right now, this is how I feel, this is what I can see, touch and taste and I accept that it is just for right now. When we acknowledge in the moment that this is where we are it encourages acceptance of self. Being present and mindful of where we are now clears our mind of clutter and allows focus which with practice will allow a sense of calm. And the bonus? With a mind clear of clutter we allow our intuitive thoughts and messages to filter through because we are no longer blocking them with unnecessary stress. Imagine never having to kick yourself again for ignoring an intuitive vibe because you were too busy to pay real attention!
The Ancients knew what we have forgotten
We have forgotten what the ancients knew well. There are messages from the gods and the goddess everywhere in everything. Nature speaks if we are mindful enough to notice and listen just as our bodies speak. Our bodies tell us when it is time to rest, heal, reflect, process or feel something. Mindfulness will strengthen your connection to spirit, aid your self awareness and you will find authenticity in being here now.
Where are you right now, in this moment?
